Answer patient calls in an effective and professional manner on the telephone, following Slocum Customer Service guidelines.Transfers calls as needed to individual extension numbers, queues and into the voicemail system.Operates overhead page system to notify individuals in office to pick up calls. Supplies information as appropriate to callersRespond to calls, taking appropriate action; ensuring correct messages are passed on to the relevant staff member and physician.Interview patient according to specific formats to compile basic information for use by others for clinical purposes. Enter data into the NextGen System as appropriate.Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Able to sit for long periods of time. Be able to work on a computer and keyboard for up to eight hours a day.
