We are on the lookout for a seasoned BI Consultant to guide us in transitioning from Tableau to Power BI. The perfect fit would be someone with a solid background in banking and/or financial services and a comprehensive understanding of our sector. This role involves managing intricate queries and working with diverse data sources. As a BI Consultant, your key role will be to convert raw data into meaningful insights that will inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Understanding: Comprehend business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
BI Solutions: Design and implement efficient BI solutions and models.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests and troubleshoot to ensure BI solutions align with business needs.
Training: Educate end users on BI tools and systems.
Maintenance: Sustain and support data analytics platforms.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and convert them into actionable insights. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various departments (e.g., finance, operations, marketing). Create visualizations that aid decision-making and propel business growth.
Data Warehouse Construction: Design, build, and optimize data warehouses to cater to reporting and analytics needs. Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity within the warehouse.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency with SQL for database querying and data manipulation. Understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with IT teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives. Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute data expertise.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting efficiency, and data governance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or business intelligence.
Strong proficiency in Power BI and experience with data visualization tools.
Knowledge of data warehouse design principles and ETL processes.
Familiarity with SQL databases and data modeling.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
