About the Role:

We are hiring for a Cash Operations Specialist who will work as a leader with responsibilities directing Cash operations, and/or supporting functions to meet production and quality objectives for processing and shipping currency, coin and identifying unfit currency. You will act as a supervisor in their absence, this will include directing workflow, schedules, assigning work and team assignments. You will ensure operational area follows and maintains federal, state and other regulatory requirements, including corporate governance to include internal accounting/balancing software.

You Will:


  • Serve as work leader of operations employees and oversees daily functions.

  • Direct and schedule work, assign tasks, and facilitate a team setting.

  • Perform operational duties requiring comprehensive knowledge of current regulatory requirements including custody controls, standard operating procedures, office of compliance guidelines and accounting policies.

  • Monitor and inspect work by conducting periodic reviews to ensure areas of responsibility are in compliance with procedures and policies.

  • Provide analytical input to deliverables and serves as a thought and analytical resource for ideas and improvement opportunities.

  • Act as a resource for operational troubleshooting and guides and leads others in problem resolution on quality and special situations in assigned area of cash operations.

  • Exhibit expertise on all functions in the current automated cash system.

  • Research and resolve problems in balancing, errors, adjustments, and customer issues.

  • Review monthly budget and operational reports and confer with management as necessary on cost management, equipment and needed acquisitions.

  • Maintain supplies inventory and ensure operational equipment is functioning appropriately.

  • May perform additional duties as assigned by management, including participating in or leading special cash projects and workgroups.

You Have:


  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related areas.

  • 3 years' experience in Cash operations and/or valuables handling strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrate ability to lead/coach others, to foster a team environment; ability to listen to, identify and address employee and customer concerns.

  • Understands Cash Custody Controls and Guidelines.

  • PC skills to include knowledge of hardware/software applications; Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Is dedicated to providing high quality products and services which meet the requirements of internal/external customers.

  • Demonstrates integrity and is trusted; is seen as a direct, truthful individual.

  • Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge.

  • Knows how to organize people and activities.

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This role supports the ongoing operation of the Bank and requires working onsite at the Federal Reserve work location 100% of the time. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
