We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Transaction Tax (VAT, GST, and related) Leader to join our Tax Department. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of the company's global indirect tax strategy which includes ensuring close collaboration amongst global Tax teams to ensure consistency in best practices, leveraging shared technology tools and data flows, communication and adherence to changing Tax Regulations and Rules globally, and close support of multiple business initiatives that serve Walmart's customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Foster strong relationships and closely work with Walmart's operational teams to enable global growth initiatives as well as support Walmart's existing international activities.
Develop and implement a comprehensive global Transaction Tax strategy, aligned with the Walmart's goals and initiatives including global growth strategies.
Partner closely with global Tax teams to ensure adherence to compliance obligations, project planning, cash management and planning, organizational design and resource planning, as well as reporting to internal stakeholders a global view of Transaction Tax operations, opportunities and programs.
Work closely with Tax Engine and Technology teams to leverage common tools thereby ensuring common data flows, accuracy in operations, and enablement of shared resources.
Establish and implement Transaction Tax best practices and policies globally.
Assess operational plans and initiatives within the company and provide real time guidance on global Transaction Tax considerations and opportunities.
Monitor and support risk analysis reviews facing the business which would include FAS 5 (ASC 450) determinations, as well as Tax audit & inquiry support.
Stay up to date with regulatory changes and industry trends in order to provide thought leadership within the company.
Lead in a highly collaborative, multi-teaming environment that requires adaptiveness and willingness to partner across multiple functions including Legal, Finance, Technology, Operations, Logistics, and Compliance teams globally.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Tax authorities in conjunction with multiple global Tax teams.
Actively manage third party tax and legal advisors in order to effectively support global Transaction Tax needs globally.
Build, develop, and maintain a global Transaction Tax team comprised of high-performing tax professionals.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
