A leading manufacturing company in Howard County, Maryland seeks a qualified Accounting Supervisor
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting departments
Complete a monthly detailed review of accounts payable and accounts receivables to resolve issues
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
Assist in documentation gathering for internal and external auditors
Assist in forecasting and budgeting process
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation processes including capital leases
Compile reports (as required by management), perform analysis of ledger accounts and drive increased information flow with real time reporting implementation
Complete monthly departmental cost reporting and distribute to key management
Assists in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting
Assist management in preparation of the IAS financial report and notes.
Assist in streamlining tasks and processes in AP and AR
Manage, maintain and safeguard confidential information
Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards
Develops and directs Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable professionals and support staff
Complete special projects, initiatives and additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and interest in leading a teamAdvanced Excel skills required; SAP experience preferredTask oriented and excellent organizational abilitiesEffective written and verbal communicatorKnowledge of GAAP
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field requiredMinimum of three years corporate accounting experience requiredMinimum of two years A/P and A/R supervisory experience requiredKnowledge and management of US Sales Tax filingsSAP Experience preferredInternational business experience preferred
