As a family-run company and A-licensed general contractor, we specialize in civil excavation, site work, slurry seal, and road striping. We're not just about moving dirt; we're about shaping the landscape and building a better tomorrow for Maui.
Your Role:
As a Construction Project Coordinator at Tom's, you'll be at the heart of our growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Document Management: • Gathering, preparing, and submitting all project documents when they are due, including certificates of insurance, material specifications and submittals, and project schedules. • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
Resource Coordination: • Scheduling, organizing, and reserving equipment, materials, and subcontractors. • Coordinating material orders, deliveries, and equipment shipping to ensure timely completion of projects.
Meeting Attendance: • Attending preconstruction meetings, jobsite inspections, and team meetings to stay informed and contribute insights. • Providing project status updates and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
Tech-Savvy Project Management: • Using and maintaining the company's project management tech stack, including platforms like Monday.com and Slack. • Updating project information regularly and posting updates for crews to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
Job Requirements: • Prior experience in construction project coordination or related field preferred. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. • High School Diploma, or GED. Some college is a plus. • Knowledge of construction industry practices and regulations, with a focus on safety and compliance.
