Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists II to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity blood bank l aboratories. This role supports our local hospitals with providing results for cross matches, antibody and antigen testing, as well as other high complexity testing.

What to Expect

Schedule: Days 6:45 AM to 3:15PM. Works every other weekend.

This position will support our labs at Washington Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital and Wheeling.

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:

• Perform high complexity testing including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.


• Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.


• Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.


• Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB/SBB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.


• State licensure as required by regulations.


• Minimum two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
