Job Summary

As a Senior Security System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our security posture by supporting a range of essential tools including Office 365, Azure, Sentinel One EDR & XDR, Tenable One, Microsoft Defender, and Proofpoint. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of security systems, enhancing risk management practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Asset Security: Develop and implement strategies to safeguard organizational assets, including data, hardware, and software.
2. Communication and Network Security: provide guidance for communication protocols and network infrastructure to maintain secure data transmission and prevent unauthorized access.
3. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM solutions to ensure appropriate access controls and user authentication mechanisms.
4. Security Architecture and Engineering: Design and deploy robust security architectures to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
5. Security Assessment and Testing: Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
6. Security Operations: Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to mitigate potential threats and breaches.
7. Security and Risk Management: Lead initiatives to assess, prioritize, and mitigate security risks across various systems and platforms.
8. Software Development Security: Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Minimum Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on supporting tools such as Office 365, Azure, Sentinel One EDR & XDR, Tenable Nessus, Microsoft Defender, and Proofpoint.
4. Other information security related tasks as required.
5. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and tool integration.
6. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
7. Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001/27002).
8. Technology Project Management experience preferred.
