SUMMARY: Responsible for driving growth within their assigned customer portfolio. Serve as liaison between Carrier Sales and Customer. Handle problem resolution and customer communications. Primarily responsible for strategic accounts or awards exceeding $1m in annual revenue with a combined book of customers under $10m in total revenue.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as liaison between carrier sales and customers.

• Use best practices and knowledge of internal and/or external business issues to improve products and/or services.

• Negotiate and determine appropriate pricing. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Collaborate with the team to identify ways to grow business.

• Monitor customer shipments and the quality control of carrier and performance. Maintain contact management system like CRM to determine established contacts.

• Develop and solicit new accounts via telephone or email while generating price quotes, coordinating scheduling, entering orders, and negotiating rates with carriers.

• Assist sales in final stages of closing new customers as well as up-selling and cross-selling with existing customers.

• Conduct business reviews as required with customers.

• Responsible for problem resolution and customer communications for both transactional and strategic accounts.

• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other team members. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, or a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 1 to 3 years of experience in truck transportation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transportation, customer service, negotiations, or related experience. Prior experience coordinating transport schedules, performing technical reviews, and handling transportation planning preferred.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with data analytics tools/languages (for example, Power BI, Tableau, SQL), customer relationship software (for example, Salesforce) and project management software (for example, Smartsheets) preferred.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of, a team. Skilled in preparing clear and concise documents, including but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials. Familiar with logistics and transportation principles, concepts, and methodologies, moving product via various modes, cost analysis and resource optimization.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts a single business unit/segment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
