SciPro are currently assisting a client with their search for a Project Manager to join them on an initial 12-month project in Nebraska. There is the strong chance of either an extension or moving into a permanent position from this.
The Role
Effectively align with stakeholders to meet expectations and business needs (including budget, schedule, scope, quality, safety, documentation, communication, etc.)
Establish and lead effective cross functional project teams.
Lead and manage external engineering partners to deliver on project design and system performance.
Predictive and proactive actions to project risks including mitigation plans, communication, continuous monitoring, etc.
Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects to ensure project portfolio success.
Ensure that capital projects are planned and executed according to the project model.
Requirements
B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or strongly related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience minimum in Project Management working directly with external engineering firms, contractors, and vendors
A minimum of 3 years of experience minimum managing a broad base of project activities including design, procurement, project scheduling, controlling budgets, knowledge of fabrication, construction, and commissioning
Knowledge and understanding of capital project management processes.
Ability to lead cross functional teams and collaborate locally and globally.
Strong organizational skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong technical skills, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated to pursue initiatives and able to prioritize tasks and time is critical.
Occasional travel may be required and is dependent on the region's approved investment portfolio.
