THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Client is an entertainment media company in the Los Angeles area, who is seeking a highly-motivated FP&A Director who can partner with Executive Leadership to perform various tasks such as financial modeling, forecasting, and dashboard development related to ad monetization. The ideal Director of FP&A is tech savvy with experience in PowerBI and various financial systems.
This will be a 4+ month contract, reporting into the Los Angeles office 3 days per week.
INTERIM FP&A DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build comprehensive financial models to analyze ad monetization performance, including forecasting and scenario analysis. Ensure models are up-to-date with the latest advertising trends and data inputs. Utilize modeling to simulate various market conditions and their potential impacts on ad revenue.
Actively gather and validate data from multiple sources including ad platforms, CRM systems, and sales reports to ensure accurate and insightful analysis. Perform deep dives into ad performance metrics to understand the effectiveness of different ad campaigns and their contribution to overall revenue.
Prepare detailed reports on ad monetization performance, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights to the marketing and sales teams to optimize ad strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine ad targeting and placement to maximize revenue and return on ad spend.
Design and develop interactive PowerBI dashboards that provide intuitive visual representations of complex datasets. Customize dashboards according to user requirements to highlight key performance indicators, trends, and analytics insights that drive business decisions.
Continuously evaluate and enhance the functionality of PowerBI dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs. Provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to leverage dashboard insights for strategic analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and business unit leaders, from a financial support standpoint, offering guidance on financial matters.
REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting/forecasting.
Experience in an entertainment related business preferred, not required.
Must have prior experience using Power BI. SAP experience is preferred.
Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively.
Experience creating and implementing process and standardizing financial modeling.
Proven track record of advanced analytical skills; must be able to define and execute key analyses with minimal supervision.
Superior problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage numerous projects with competing timelines.
Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and digitally savvy.
