Storage Specialist (Architect)Storage Scale (GPFS) and SSS (ESS) skill requirements:
- Understand Scale architecture
- Cluster
- Nodes (NDS server, client, quorum, protocol, gateway, etc.)
- Filesystems, filesets, and related settings
- Scale operations
- Deployments, updates, upgrades on various OS options
- Start, stop, mount, unmount, change settings
- Troubleshooting tools
- Policies
- SSS (ESS) architecture
- Different models and features
- Capacity calculations
- Network design
- BB add/remove
- Updates and upgrades
- AFM
Other technologies (preferred)
- Basic understanding of SP Archive
- Basic understanding of Tape technology
- Familiarity with other IBM Storage (Flash systems and SAN)
- Knowledge of operating systems: Linux (different flavors) and Windows
- Shell/Python scripting skills
- Ansible automation skills
