The Technical Special, Printing is responsible for hands-on printing and copying needs of the campus print shop and print services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations
Maintains production schedules for processing print jobs. Ensures deadlines are met. Prioritizes and manages multiple projects.
Participates in entire process from taking print orders through packaging; follows quality control protocols. Operates all print and copy equipment.
Works collaboratively with campus constituents to maintain adherence to the University's brand identity standards, determine service needs, budget constraints, and deadlines.
Complies with established health, safety, and service standards, including University and printing services policies and rules.
Assists in department training needs.
Serves as back-up for the Technical Specialist, Equipment.
Additional duties, as assigned.
Administration
Assists in customer service, pricing, billing, and department planning.
Maintains all required logs, records, files, and reports, as needed.

In depth knowledge of materials, equipment, and standard practices of photocomposition, digital printing, and binding.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry guidelines and legalities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in business or related field.
Three years' print shop experience required.
Combination of education and experience may be considered.
Pay Grade 4 (Hiring Range $17.70 to $22.12 per hour)
