This position performs work tasks relating to building and/or grounds maintenance, including the repair of building structures and mechanical equipment. This position works to maintain a safe, functional, comfortable and efficient environment that enables the occupants to perform their functions as required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for grounds and building maintenance.
Responds as directed to all employee requests in relation to the facility and employee safety.
Assists with the repair and replacement of building components as needed.
Works independently on assigned projects.
Assists on-site contractors, vendors and other external service contacts
Develops baseline knowledge of the onsite Critical Backup Power systems, building environmental systems and electrical circuitry and responds to events that impact the business process
Completes regular facility maintenance and projects as assigned, working in coordination with the Facilities Manager, onsite management team and outside vendors
Responds to emergency situations and events outside normal working hours
Skills and Qualifications
A combination of education and experience that would enable the incumbent to meet all essential functions and required competencies of the position.
Intermediate level computer skills are required.
Basic working knowledge of the building systems that are critical to employee safety and critical power needs such as fire alarm system; emergency backup power generator; UPS power conditioning equipment; building and data center electrical circuitry; building environmental systems and computer room air conditioning system.
