Schedule: 10am-6pm Monday-Friday (must be flexible) rotating weekends required.




Pay: $29.09-$30.09




ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Monitors product quality and production procedures throughout the Waupun facility to ensure quality, food safety, employee safety, and GMP standards are met.



  • Assists with implementing, monitoring, and verification, validation production standard operating procedures, sanitation standard operating procedures, controlled documents, and the master sanitation schedule.



  • Interacts with personnel at all levels to communicate quality issues. Assists production personnel by providing instructions, direction and guidance as needed to ensure quality and food safety standards are met.



  • Provides support and back up to QA Supervisor in audits including corporate, customer, GFSI, and State and Federal regulators during inspections, product sampling, etc.



  • Assists with conducting new-hire Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training and other food safety and quality trainings as needed.



  • Assists with maintaining the HOLD and positive release programs within all departments.



  • Monitors Master Sanitation Schedule completion monthly for all areas within the Waupun facility.



  • Provides follow up on special projects related to quality in cheese production, whey, and shred departments.



  • Assists with the annual review and revision of Quality Assurance programs in the plant.



  • Assists with monitoring and maintaining the Environmental Monitoring, FSMA, and HACCP programs.



  • Interacts with and assists production personnel with quality issues. Provides instructions and guidance to production personnel as needed to ensure quality standards are met.



  • Provides support and back up to QA Supervisor in audits including corporate, customer, GFSI, and State and Federal regulators during inspections, product sampling, etc.



  • Assists with data entry and performs monthly trending of swabbing results, customer complaints and foreign material incidents.



  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Values that align with the Saputo culture.

  • Bachelor's Degree in food science or a related field, or equivalent experience.



  • Minimum 2 years Quality Assurance experience and/or 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience.



  • Working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, SAP, etc.)



  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form



  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions.



  • Ability to obtain HACCP certification.



  • Strong math and analytical skills



  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays as needed.



  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.



  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills.
