Basic Job Functions:



The role of the Hot Mill Furnace Equipment Technician includes, but is not limited to the following:

Ensure safe work environment for their self and their coworkers.

Ensure production of high-quality product through proper Tunnel Furnace maintenance and operation.

Manage, Monitor, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair the Tunnel Furnace Equipment.

Must be willing to work a "days" schedule Monday thru Friday.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year prior rolling mill/tunnel furnace experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience withthe Tunnel Furnace& rolling process.


• Demonstrated ability to interact with vendors.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
