Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Enterprise Risk Officer within the company's Corporate Risk group. Corporate Risk is the company's second line of defense for risk management. The Lead Enterprise Risk Officer will be part of the Home Lending Servicing Risk team and will perform complex data analysis to support home lending credit policies, models, and programs for foreclosure, REO, and loss mitigation. The successful candidate will have strong data analysis skills, superb communication, and demonstrated success driving innovative solutions to analytic challenges.
In this role, you will:
Perform complex data analysis to support home lending credit policies, models, and programs in the foreclosure, REO, and loss mitigation space
Review and analyze complex strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on risk appetite and culture
Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal and external customers
Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management
Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced SAS skills with a minimum of 3 years SAS experience
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets
Modelling and/or decision tree analytics experience
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Home lending experience with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: loss mitigation, foreclosure, REO, bankruptcy, loss processing, collateral
Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction; superior ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to thoroughly research and analyze options and impacts of solutions
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to determine accuracy and relevancy of information to effectively generate and evaluate conclusions and/or recommend alternatives
A BS/BA degree or higher
