Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and implementing recruitment strategies to fill vacancies for all positions within the Facilities department. Collaborates with management and leadership to conceptualize, develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to include forecasting, designing, and implementing a comprehensive, proactive recruiting strategy, both at the local and national setting. Manages the work-flow of Facilitates recruitment, hiring and onboarding processes. Manages and supervises the HR Specialist's
duties, workload and day-to-day operations.


Essential Functions:



  • Collaborates with hiring managers and/or other Human Resources staff to develop accurate position descriptions and hiring criteria, identifies and recommends salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Writes and posts job advertisements, recommends qualified candidates, and ensures reference checks are complete. Submits background check requests, and completes new hire onboarding. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, code and University policies. Interprets employment and recruitment policies and procedures to ensure compliance throughout the University's recruitment process.

  • Serves as a resource for Facilities hiring supervisors and new Facilities HR department representatives to assist and train on the recruitment processes. Guides and advises supervisors through the recruiting process. Ensures departments have access to the most up to date material and guidance from the University related to Human Resource deadlines, policies, and procedures. Develops with the Assistant Director and Facilities Leadership recruitment communique for distribution throughout the local community and external partners. Updates and maintains the Facilities FSU website on a routine basis.

  • Develops, manages and maintains systems and tools to account for Facilities HR recruiting activities. Collaborates with the Assistant Director to identify, create, and implement efficient processes, training, and other materials to streamline recruitment efforts. Responsible for management and maintenance of records pertaining to recruitment, development of recruiting reports, and ensuring new hires complete all required tasks and trainings. Provides assistance with the application process to all internal and external applicants.

  • Plans and coordinates job fairs and other recruiting related community events for Facilities positions. Establishes relationships and maintains internal, external, local community, and technical school contacts to develop a pool qualified candidates. Develops recruitment and instructs recruitment training to hiring managers. Maintains recruitment files, forms and materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in human resources or a related field or a high school diploma/equivalency and eight years of the same experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in a high education environment

  • Experience developing and managing active and/or passive recruitment plans

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated starting salary in the low $50,000's, commensurate with education and experience.
