Our global nonprofit client focused on disease prevention is seeking an Accountant experience in Payroll implementation to join their corporate team.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in accounting, or finance required
2+ years Accounting experience
2+ Years in payroll processing and software implementation including testing flow, align testing errors and working with vendor to make adjustments
Experience processing biweekly payroll for 500 employees using ADP
MS Office, Advanced Excel, Quickbooks, NetSuite, Agresso experience required
Ability to troubleshoot, design, implement, and manage systems that contribute to an efficient working environment.
Experience collaborating with diverse groups of international teams
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Payroll Accountant are to process bi-weekly payrolls for approximately 250 employees and includes time & attendance data from our time keeping system as well as reporting, reconciling, and auditing data
Preparing monthly payroll journal entries, including payroll expense, retirement plan expense, benefit time accruals and adjustments and employee expense reimbursements
Reconciling payroll accounts, bank statements, general ledger, and sub-ledgers accounts and resolve discrepancies
Developing an in-depth understanding of payroll database to forecast payroll expenses through the end of the year for board and leadership reporting
Providing training on payroll and database to employees during new hire orientation and other staff, as needed
Supporting preparation for annual audits including workers' compensation, retirement plan and financial audits
This position requires meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles and company policies for proper payroll reporting and compliance
