2024 Tech Position:
Job Summary:
We are recruiting a technician to join our NIH-funded project on studying cell polarity and membrane phospholipids. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to learn cutting-edge genetics, live imaging, and image processing and analysis. Our main model systems are Drosophila (fruit fly) and mammalian cells, combined with advanced genetics and quantitative live imaging techniques. Our unique projects explore fundamental mechanisms of cell polarity and membrane lipid dynamics under cellular stress, such as hypoxia, ischemia, and ATP inhibition. Insights from our research provide novel perspectives on treating diseases such as cancer and ischemia/reperfusion injury.
