Position Summary:
Responsible for timely and quality service and repair work of hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems and other mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
- Complete service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field
- Proactive in selling products that would benefit the customer
- Test systems
- Support startups and field commissions as necessary
- Work with business unit manager to develop and grow service business
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems
- Hydraulic hose fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Welding experience (preferably certified in MIG and/or TIG welding)
- Experience in tube fabrication, bending and end conditioning
- Experience with metal fabrication
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Good math and reading skills
- Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Demonstrated adherence to safe work habits and practices, including the use of PPE and safety devices
Environment:
- Customer facilities, job sites and field service
- Requires employee to spend the majority of his or her time on foot, lifting, bending, standing and carrying items
- Steel toe shoes, flame retardant clothing and eye protection are required
- Must have flexibility in work hours including evenings and weekends
- Light travel required
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
