What You Will Do as an Electro-Mechanical Technician:
Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical or experienced Field Service Technician with a background in electrical and mechanical repair? Are interested in expanding your knowledge by learning new skills? We offer paid training so that our Electro-Mechanical Technicians become experts in performing maintenance and repair on a variety of medical devices like; lithotripters, lasers, cryo-machines and more.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs needed repair and refurbishment on all designated returned equipment.
- Use proper test equipment to perform job tasks and observes proper safety procedures.
- Assist senior shop personnel as required.
- Train junior personnel as directed.
- Complete special projects that are assigned in a timely manner.
- Data entry for all repaired equipment being return to inventory.
- Interface with co-workers and other departments on issues that concern or affect them.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of experience in electromechanical work.
- Capable of operating various types of test equipment related to position.
- Must be able to work independently and also guide others.
- Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility.
- Effective communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skill necessary to interact professionally and courteously with management and other personnel.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintains ability to bend, climb and lift loads in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Considerable sitting, driving and lifting.
- May be required to push, carry and pack equipment for all procedures according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Overnight travel required.
- Starting and ending times of workdays will vary according to scheduling repair needs.
- Exposure to weather, temperature extremes and traffic and road conditions may be encountered while driving from site to site.
