At FedPoint, Business Solutions & Support department is dedicated to understanding both internal and external customer requirements and working with IT to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions. We serve as business and process consultants to our stakeholders, providing essential support through data analysis, reporting, and issue resolution.


As a Business Systems Analyst, you will:

**Capture Business Requirements**: Gather and document business systems requirements from stakeholders, translating them into user stories and technical specifications.

**Support Agile Development**: Facilitate requirements handoff to development teams, ensure thorough testing, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

**Create Documentation**: Produce detailed documentation and artifacts to support system development and user training.

**Champion Team Collaboration**: Mentor team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and elevate the team's overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering (50%)

- Assess system functions and potential new business impacts.

- Facilitate stakeholder sessions to capture and prioritize system needs.

- Bridge the gap between stakeholders and IT, ensuring clear and accepted project scopes.

- Capture and prioritize requirements, identify MVP, and maintain a development backlog.

Testing (30%)

- Partner with the Agile team to support and document all project testing needs.

- Ensure system requirements are met and data accuracy is maintained.

- Identify, log, and resolve bugs, and update user stories accordingly.

Training & Mentorship (10%)

- Mentor team members and provide feedback to management on training opportunities.

- Contribute to documentation resources and encourage knowledge sharing.

Production Preparation (5%)

- Maintain use cases and documentation repositories.

- Support business training and respond to inquiries during project warranty periods.

- Summarize and circulate release notes to stakeholders.

Operations Support (5%)

- Generate reports to support internal and external business requests.

- Assist in measuring KPI performance and provide data visualization services.


Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required. Certifications or coursework in business / systems analysis preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a progressive business analysis or analytical role.
  • 3+ years’ experience gathering and writing business requirements, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing and executing complex queries to extract data for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in peer coaching and training support.
  • Experience in meeting facilitation, leading problem-solving exercises, and gaining group consensus.
  • Experience in business reporting (KPIs / Metrics).
  • Experience capturing and articulating end-to-end technical solutions.
  • Experience in insurance or benefit administration operations preferred.


Location: Portsmouth, NH - HYBRID 2 days in office

Full-Time Position M-F with core business hours
