POSITION SUMMARY

The Resources and Training Program Manager creates the curriculum utilized by advisors, in middle and high schools, with a focus on college and career readiness and to bring awareness to College Success Foundation's (CSF) available programs and resources. This role collaborates with members from the programs teams to develop comprehensive training plans and resources for students that are in alignment with CSF's mission.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Coordinates curriculum development and ensures schools have the resources they need to implement CSF's programs.
  • Creates student-facing resources that are engaging and informative and facilitate student enrollment in post-secondary programs.
  • Collaborates with program teams to pinpoint staff training and resource needs and identify gaps. Utilizes the data to develop and curate resources, tools, and training programs aimed at improving daily operations.
  • Creates training plans and schedules.
  • Supervises the translation of CSF resources to meet the diverse language needs of students across the regions in Washington State. Ensures accessibility of resources to meet the diverse needs of students and families.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing department to co-create marketing materials that align with program staff needs.
  • Manages the procurement and inventory of promotional materials for School Based Advisors to ensure schools have an adequate supply of marketing resources.
  • Monitors curriculum effectiveness, seeks feedback from program teams, and makes recommendations for changes to strengthen resources and optimize program outcomes. Manages projects throughout the project life cycle which include initiation, planning, execution, monitoring progress, project evaluation, and wrap-up. Oversees project risk management and provides project updates to key stakeholders.
  • Prepares program reports as required by CSF, funders, and its stakeholders.
  • Develops and deepens an understanding of the principles of equity and justice, applies the principles, and serves as a champion, role model, and active participant for equity and justice activities, programs, and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
The items listed below are the minimum requirements for the job and are relevant to this position. The organization values both work experience and education and realizes that individuals take different paths to acquire knowledge.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Psychology, or Human Resources, preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience to include one year of Project Management experience and one year of Curriculum Development and College Access experience.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position will be considered.
Knowledge and Skills

  • List the minimum knowledge and skills needed to perform the primary duties of the job.
  • Knowledge of post-secondary education pathways as well as college admission, career development, and financial aid requirements.
  • Knowledge of needs assessment tools and practices to assess and identify training needs and perform gap analysis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of instructional design principles.
  • Proficiency in creating training plans, materials, and resources that facilitate student enrollment and completion of postsecondary degrees.
  • Passion and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with software used for data analysis and content creation such as Salesforce, Google Suite, Canva, and Adobe.
  • Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adapts to changing priorities and working with frequent interruptions.
  • Manages and fulfills frequent and competing deadlines.
  • Utilizes proactive approaches for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilizes research skills to improve materials and ensure materials are up-to-date.
  • Initiative to learn and enhance skills that promote equity and an understanding of oppression and its impact on underserved populations.

Professional Certifications and Licenses

  • Curriculum and Instruction certification.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certificate preferred.

  • Perceive, inspect, and assess data at close range.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position requires Washington state residents if assigned in a Washington based location. If this position is assigned in a District of Columbia based location the resident must reside in the District of Columbia.
  • Uses collaborative software for communicating with others and attending virtual meetings.
  • Occasional travel is required, including some evening and weekend events.
  • Reliable transportation are required.
