Adient is seeking an Account Financial Manager responsible for overseeing both development and current production programs to ensure they achieve the approved business case metrics for profitability and return on investment.
Responsibilities:
Manage programs to maintain profitability and ROI.
Exhibit skills in analytical thinking, communication, strategic planning, and technical product knowledge.
Display excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Lead in communication, character development, critical thinking, change management, conflict resolution, and coaching/team-building.
Oversee business planning, product costing, product pricing, and financial issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop new business plans evaluating ROI.
Support customer quotations.
Understand and cost products using complex bills of material and manufacturing processes.
Develop customer financial strategies and manage quotes.
Attend and lead finance-related project meetings.
Resolve financial issues and perform monthly financial updates for top management.
Understand the automotive industry and market forces.
Set cost targets for suppliers and support make vs. buy decisions.
Provide input for profit plans and forecasts.
Control development spending and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Maintain financial metrics for new programs through production start-up.
Handle tooling and discrete PO invoicing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Program Management.
5 years of experience in financial management or project management.
Automotive industry experience.
Strong finance skills and familiarity with business case preparation (ROS%, IRR%, ROA%).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in advanced MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree such as an MBA.
Cost estimating experience.
