Paid summer internship for Accounting and Finance students!
We are seeking a student pursuing a degree in either Accounting or Finance to become an Intern for the audit department with a Fortune 500 company in Jacksonville. This person will work directly under the VP of Audit and gain valuable experience in accounting procedures, month-end close, audit, and GAAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable experience for their resume and future careers!
Responsibilities
Oversee audit finalization and SOX audit
Assist with management of accounting operations, close, reporting, and reconciliations
Help Managers and VP with PowerPoint projects and assist with presentations
Perform reconciliations and journal entries for month-end close
Evaluate transactions, balances, and disclosures to comply with GAAP
Qualifications
Must be an enrolled student currently in pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer months
