In addition to an extensive network of branch offices in Germany, the company has existing subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Norway, India, Singapore and Australia.
WAGNER is now looking to substantially increase its international presence and will expand its business in the US and Canada. For our US-subsidiary WAGNER Fire Safety, Inc., located in the greater Chicago area, we are searching for a full-time Treasurer & Controller, who takes over a broad range of tasks in finance, controlling, benefits administration, purchasing and corporate planning. This role reports to the President & CEO of WAGNER Fire Safety Inc.
Responsibilities:
Leading the daily finance and administration activities and month/year closing.
Directing the financial activities for cost accounting, tax, and accounts payable.
Initiating process change, especially facilitating teamwork with general managers, IT, etc.
Benefits administration.
Implementing routines and accounting practices necessary for maintaining a high standard of controls compliance and proper statement of the balance sheet.
Primary contact with external service providers and auditors.
Managing the purchase and procurement function.
Ensuring that adequate controls are in place with respect to segregation of duties.
Preparing and Monitoring Business and Operating plans.
Reporting financial package and trend analysis to the parent company within the deadlines.
Working with business lines to establish processes for different areas of the business so that they are in line with GAAP rules.
Taking ownership of topics relating to our office location in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Managing positive cash flow and implementing controlling measures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Minimum of 2 years professional working experience in a similar position
Previous experience working with SoS-Inventory, Quickbooks, SAP Concur and/or other related systems necessary to operate the business.
Knowledge of tax related matters
Knowledge of import/export related matters (importing goods from Europe, exporting to Canada).
Experience with project business (Work in Progress, Percentage of Completion, ...)
Hands-on mentality, proven ability to work independently and autonomously with self-motivation and commitment
Attention to detail, process management and ownership of results
French, Spanish or German language skills would be beneficial
