Role Overview: As a Marketing Program Assistant, you will play a crucial role in designing and producing planned marketing programs. This includes supporting conference management for various divisions. You will lead or assist in the planning and execution of marketing and customer events, developing communication strategies, and managing projects to meet corporate objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Execution: Lead and support internal and external customer events, including conferences, webinars, and user group meetings.
  • Marketing Communications: Develop and implement marketing communications strategies and project plans. Research, write, and edit content for both print and electronic communications targeted at internal teams (e.g., sales, existing accounts, clinical) and external stakeholders (e.g., prospects, clients, members).
    • This includes creating presentations, supplemental materials, campaigns, press releases, newsletters, white papers, and industry journal articles.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate the work of outside vendors and consultants involved in project execution (e.g., meeting planners, outside agencies, freelance writers).
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Program Development: Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
  • Budget Management: Manage projects within budget constraints.
  • Promotional Activities: Assist in the execution of promotional activities, including print, electronic media, benefit fairs, trade shows, direct mail, and signage.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
  • Material Management: Manage the development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.
  • Program Analysis: Help analyze marketing programs and adjust strategies and tactics to increase effectiveness. Review and provide analysis of marketing surveys.
  • Event Reporting: Provide post-event reports, analysis, and regular status updates on marketing programs.
  • Corporate Image: Help establish and maintain a consistent corporate image across product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Support: Provide full backup support for other business segments as needed and/or assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Two to ten years of related experience and/or training.

Computer Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
