Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Kubernetes Administrator with over 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Python and shell scripting, along with extensive expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, particularly on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). The role demands proficiency in Splunk monitoring for ensuring the health and performance of Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and shell scripting to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Implement effective monitoring solutions using Splunk to ensure the reliability and performance of Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability on Kubernetes.
  • Utilize AWS services to integrate and enhance Kubernetes-based solutions.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Maven to automate software delivery processes.
  • Work closely with API platforms to integrate Kubernetes-based applications with external services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes containers and orchestration.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices in Kubernetes deployments.
  • Stay updated with the latest Kubernetes trends and best practices to continuously improve infrastructure efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with a focus on Kubernetes administration.
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation tasks.
  • Strong experience with Amazon EKS and AWS services.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk monitoring for Kubernetes environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
  • Knowledge of API platforms and their integration with Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies and Kubernetes concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Kubernetes (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
  • Experience with other container orchestration platforms like Docker Swarm or Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and related patterns.
  • Experience in implementing Kubernetes security best practices.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
