SUMMARY OF POSITION

Canon Healthcare USA, Inc. (CHCU) has an immediate opening for a hands-on Manager, IT to design, implement, and provide best-in-class, 24/7 enterprise-level IT support in mid-size enterprise networks and design, administer, and support CHCU's LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SDWAN, servers, switches, storage, and desktop/laptop computing environment.

The qualified candidate will possess the technical expertise to oversee network hardware, develop procedures to solve complex hardware and software issues within an IT environment; design and implement network infrastructure for a growing organization; and implement, organize, document, and troubleshoot M365 platform, including Office365, Exchange online, MS Teams, SharePoint online, and Microsoft Windows 11 desktop OS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure network infrastructure availability, reliability, security, and timely problem resolution.
  • Perform system and daily IT operations such as:

-Administering Ubiquiti firewall, AP, and switches.

-Maintaining and monitoring overall data security.

-Installing enterprise hardware and software.

-Ensuring successful data backups are performed.

-Monitoring antivirus servers and updates.
  • Install, upgrade, document, and troubleshoot network hardware/software including PCs, servers, Internet connectivity, printers, ancillary computer equipment, and administer CHCU's VOIP phone system.
  • Administer and troubleshoot:

-M365 environment, enterprise applications, including MS Entra ID, Exchange online, Windows Defender,

Ubiquiti Wi-Fi networks, SharePoint online.

-Various M365 user policies, user environments, directories, group membership, and security levels.
  • Provide consistent, timely communication and updates to CHCU leadership and staff about all system-related issues and expected downtime.
  • Procure IT equipment and manage the inventory.
  • Perform hardware and software training for end users.
  • Manage the IT on-boarding and off-boarding process.
  • Perform monthly off-hour maintenance on all CHCU IT equipment.
  • Establish an optimal network environment with the external clinical/hospital collaboration sites.
  • Maintain and uphold all Canon IT standards.
  • Collaborate with various other Canon groups of companies as necessary.
  • Manage the IT team as the company grows.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • B.S. or M.S. in Information Technology or the equivalent.

Experience
  • A minimum of 8 -10 years of IT experience working in an engineering role.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in supporting and managing a data center.
  • Certification or equivalent knowledge or experience in one or more of the following:

-Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or MCSE.

-Cisco certification such as CCENT or CCNA.

-CompTIA certification such as Network+ or Security+

-M365 certification preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience partnering with senior management required.

Key Competencies
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft's Windows desktop operating system, MS Azure environment, and related technology.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in projects and the ability to work independently in a production network environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external collaborative relationships.

Work Location
  • This position is based on site in Mayfield Village (Cleveland), Ohio area.

Travel
  • Ability to complete domestic travel (up to 10% of time).
