We are seeking a Project Manager (PM) to support a multi-site network infrastructure modernization initiative. This individual will be responsible for managing complex IT projects and partnering with various internal stakeholders (VPs, IT, Operations), multiple external vendors and customer stakeholders while ensuring that all tasks and activities are coordinated in conjunction with the overall project plan. This is a highly visible project that will have constant interaction with the client. The Project Manager will have to exhibit a passion for customer service, have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and have proven experience working on concurrent projects in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.
Our Project Manager role is a remote opportunity with candidates required be local to the Atlanta area for occasional travel to our Duluth, GA office.
Responsibilities
Drive technology infrastructure from "current state to future state" with a focus on network infrastructure modernization
Develop end-to-end project implementation schedules, resource plans, financial estimates, and weekly status reports
Accountable for being informed and making leadership-aligned decisions related to assigned projects
Manage prioritization, timelines, and potential risk factors that may impact project success
Provide PM support during each phase of the project including the Implementation phases
Be responsive and decisive on adjusting network implementation plans as customer requirements and technology evolves
Lead the creation of Statements of Work, Project Change Requests and other necessary project documentation
Proactively communicate in a clear, concise, and timely manner project status, issues and risks to leadership and stakeholders
Manage leadership and stakeholder expectations
Adherence to the client's quality and safety standards
Manage vendor integration within project scope
Facilitate solutions to technical problems through discussions with technical teams
Partner with the project team to understand opportunities and limitations of solutions being implemented
Apply process improvement approaches (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Waterfall) throughout the life of the project
Up to 10% travel may be required
Desired Skills and Experience:
7+ years of project management experience
1-2+ years of experience working on IT Infrastructure projects (network upgrade project experience a plus)
PMP, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or PM certification strongly preferred
Experience managing Data Network projects such as Cisco or Fortinet is preferred
Well versed working with multiple vendors (Technology, Constructions etc.) and stakeholders simultaneously while managing all facets of a large, complex project
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic fast paced environment
Strong "service provider mindset", with proven experience consistently ensuring clients have a positive experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field
