The Vice President, Technology & Data Role:

The Vice President of Technology and Data will lead the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the company's technology and data systems and processes including office infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities:

Supervisory Accountabilities:
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management and professional-level staff in the department.
  • Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of management-level staff in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Manages the selection and supervision of third-party contractors and vendors.

General Accountabilities:
  • Establishes and executes the strategic direction of the company's technology and data systems; executes this strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Directs and coordinates professional services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.
  • Ensures the accessibility and integrity of system generated data for internal and external users.
  • Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve operational efficiency, processes, and user experience; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
  • Develops and efficiently manages an annual enterprise-level technology budget.
  • Approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
  • Monitors and reports progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance to executive leadership.
  • Ensures the integrity and reliability of technology systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
  • Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, user requirements, and analytical and programming staffing requirements for proposed systems.
  • Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of technology staff, equipment, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

You will bring with you to this role:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or equivalent training and experience required.
  • At least ten years of experience in a technical role required, with significant leadership experience essential.
  • Five+ years of Salesforce system development and management experience.
  • Solid experience with data architecture development and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead team at every level.
  • Ability to build trust and confidence in systems and processes across organization.
  • Ability to hold self and team accountable for performance and outcomes.
  • Must possess good organizational skills and show ability to address several issues simultaneously.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
  • Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to grasp objects utilizing the fingers (fine motor manipulation).
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
