Zone 5 is seeking entry level to mid-career engineers focused on hardware development (mechanical, manufacturing, electrical) to join our growing team focused on UAS development and production, by taking part in our Engineering Development Program. The purpose of the program is for incoming engineers to gain experience in the critical areas that comprise Zone 5's engineering and manufacturing operations.
This is a multi-year program in which the participant will rotate through various departments/roles throughout the organization. Specific rotations will be formulated to align with participants previous experience, growth needs, and areas of interest. Rotations are intended to build engineering foundational knowledge and aid in determining subsequent career focus.
For example, a typical mechanical engineering based program may involve an initial rotation in the machine shop focused on programming and running 5 axis machines, followed by a rotation focused on fabrication and assembly of first article aircraft builds, culminating in a rotation focused on aircraft mechanical design. Additional rotation options of flight test support, avionics development, structural and thermal analysis, and program leadership are available. The participant will work closely with management to generate a program that aligns with their career goals and development timeline.
