This Senior Staff position will be responsible for Product Engineering throughout the NPI process, working with both internal and external resources to deliver:
Silicon device and package qualification; to include planning, fixture design/development, execution, data analysis, and presentation of results.
Product Verification Test (PVT) characterization, data analysis and definition of process windows.
Reliability analysis / testing
Failure analysis to debug and isolate faults on customer (RMA) returns, qualification failures and for yield improvement.
Production Yield analysis, foundry process parameter (PCM) correlation, regression testing, fault isolation, and test coverage improvement to improve yields and reduce DPPM.
Validation of test hardware and software in (OSAT) production facilities.
Creation and maintenance of test / assembly specifications and instructions, test and qualification reports. Release of documents to the Quality Department and Contract Manufacturers.
Qualifications:
BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
>10 years of experience as a Product Engineer in the semiconductor IC industry; Power IC experience preferred.
Proficient with data analysis in Excel and either JMP or Spotfire.
Experience in new product introduction (NPI), characterization and reliability qualification of semiconductor devices, yield improvement and DPPM reduction.
Demonstrated experience working with contract Test and Assembly facilities.
Familiarity with Statistics and JEDEC reliability standards such as JESD47.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Basic understanding of wafer and package manufacturing is preferred
Basic understanding of semiconductor physics is plus.
Familiarity with OSAT and foundry online website, PDF Solutions Exensio platform is preferred
Familiarity with Silicon Capacitor and Voltage Regulator products/processes is preferred
