An chemical manufacturing company is currently seeking an EHS Manager to oversee the EHS function at a facility in the Hazlehurst area. The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading all environmental and safety programs for the facility and overseeing a direct report. This person will handle all compliance with federal, local, and corporate regulations.
The Role:
Create and manage site-based environmental, health, and safety programs and systems
Implement a safety training curriculum and procedures to eliminate injuries and illnesses.
Interact with regulatory agencies and maintain environmental compliance
Maintain and oversee PSM program
Carry out incident investigations and root cause analysis
The Candidate:
5+ years of EHS experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
B.S. degree in Safety or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related technical field
Well-versed in both Environmental and Safety compliance
Strong leadership, communication and project management skills
