Director of eCommerce

We seek a strategic and practical Director of eCommerce to manage all global eCommerce operations across the UK, US, EU, and Australia. The primary objective is to develop and execute eCommerce strategies aimed at boosting sales and enhancing the online customer experience. This will involve managing the team, collaborating with different departments, and ensuring the eCommerce platform is optimized for performance, usability, and conversion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of global eCommerce professionals, including developers, operations, and digital marketers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive eCommerce strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Set and achieve online sales targets while maintaining profitability.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure the regional eCommerce sites for the U.S., Australia, UK, and EU are user-friendly, visually appealing, and offer a seamless shopping experience.
  • Implement SEO strategies to boost organic traffic.
  • Plan email campaigns and flows focused on increasing CLV and retention rate.
  • Maintain and optimize the user experience for the loyalty program.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of the eCommerce website.
  • Manage the eCommerce calendar, including briefing banners, PDP/PLP assets, and copy to the internal creative team.
  • Collaborate with the brand team to ensure brand consistency across all digital channels.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to develop, execute, and report on digital marketing campaigns, including email/SMS marketing, paid social, TikTok Shop, paid search, and affiliate marketing.
  • Enhance the customer experience by implementing best practices in UX/UI design.
  • Utilize customer feedback and data analytics to improve the website experience.
  • Manage customer service processes related to eCommerce.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure accurate demand planning and timely delivery of products to relevant 3PLs.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, providing regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor eCommerce metrics and KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analytics to drive decision-making and strategic planning, preparing and presenting regular reports on eCommerce performance to senior leadership.
  • Stay updated with emerging eCommerce technologies and trends.
  • Implement new tools and technologies to enhance website functionality and performance.
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform is secure and complies with relevant data regulations.

Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10+ years of work experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion and beauty preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful eCommerce strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and retention marketing, SEO, SEM, and web analytics.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, preferably Shopify.
  • Previous experience working in a global eCommerce team preferred (EMEA, ANZ).
  • Servant leadership style with a strong ability to build trust among team members and effectively coach them for growth.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and web design principles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for eCommerce.
