Legal Billing Specialist Role
Collaborate with Attorneys and Staff on billing and accounting matters.
Implement client billing guidelines and ensure accurate billing documentation.
Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets for client billing management.
Process client billings and address payment inquiries efficiently.
Prepare client documentation as required, including spreadsheets.
Export and import data for cost recovery and billing systems.
Assist Payroll Specialist in generating monthly employee bills.
Maintain records for employees in billing systems.
Research and reconcile data for office personnel.
Operate standard office equipment.
Organize and maintain up-to-date accounting files.
Serve as a backup for other accounting tasks.
Provide general departmental assistance, including filing.
Legal Billing Specialist Background Profile
2+ years of professional office experience, ideally in accounting or billing.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or related fields is advantageous.
Proficiency in Windows applications, especially spreadsheets and accounting software.
Familiarity with Aderant billing software is highly valued.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for courteous interaction with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.
Ability to thrive under pressure, efficiently manage workloads, and consistently meet deadlines.
