Our client, a well known regional bank in Houston, is seeking an SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager to join their team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing a Middle Market Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in banking and will play a critical role in mentoring and developing junior portfolio managers and analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a diversified Middle Market C&I Portfolio, ensuring high-quality credit decisions and portfolio performance.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analyses, risk assessments, and due diligence for new and existing clients.
Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior portfolio managers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance portfolio performance and achieve the bank's financial objectives.
Compliance: Ensure all portfolio activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on portfolio performance, trends, and projections for senior management.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in banking, with a focus on Commercial & Industrial lending and portfolio management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
