Overview:
Oversee the organization's financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. This person will ensure the company remains financially solid and has the resources to meet its commitments.
Primary focus is managing debt including:
Working with lenders on new home project due diligence
Weekly debt reporting on existing credit facilities
Cash Forecasting - Done weekly so the team can respond quickly on land deals
Reporting on existing pipeline of land deals
Acquisition analysis for future land deals
No direct reports to start but team members will be assigned to the role down the road
Reports to the VP of Finance
Responsibilities:
Create comprehensive reports on financial results on a weekly and/or monthly basis, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, which are crucial for executive decision-making.
Oversee the entire loan process from initial sourcing to finalization, and manage ongoing credit facility and borrowing base updates.
Collaborate with the VP of Finance and CFO to handle and underwrite other homebuilding capitalization efforts, such as land banking and joint ventures.
Ensure adherence to financial covenants by implementing necessary reporting, policies, and procedures.
Evaluate both short-term and long-term capital requirements for a large homebuilding company with over $1 billion in revenue across four markets.
Track and report the current pipeline of land deals, including future acquisitions in additional markets.
Assist in leading the finance team, offering guidance and training, which may involve mentoring and developing staff members.
