In this role, you will be a part of the company's executive leadership team, partnering with the CFO, CAO, and other department heads. As the finance executive for this group, you will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of the organization directly. Your knowledge of manufacturing accounting and finance will allow you to impact the company's financial performance and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs for the purpose of determining the accuracy of the standard cost.
Supervise and manage all financial and accounting functions, including financial modeling, multi-year forecasting, analysis, budgeting, accounting, management of receivables and payables, payroll and expense management, and cash management.
Own the annual budgeting process and forecast process as well as provide meaningful reconciliations between expectations and actual business performance.
Lead the monthly financial review meetings with authority to drive accountability for delivering expected results.
Supervise walkthroughs of the production facilities with senior leadership to discuss production and costing issues, including but not limited to labor variances, material costs, manufacturing overhead, absorption costs, returns, and inventory levels.
Provide data-driven insight to the Operations and Supply Chain & Logistics team regarding inventory management and cost margin analysis.
Monitor and review site accounting deadlines for month-end close, year-end, and other reporting requirements.
Review submission of all plant capital spending projects, including doing ROI or NPV analysis when expenditure is of material amount, and makes business case to the other members of the leadership team.
Support the product, sales, and QC team in building revenue stream reporting of new and current products.
Review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations while analyzing production variances, enact cycle count reports, analyze variances monthly, and summarize at month-end close.
Proactively lead staff to develop and maintain accounting processes and controls and the presentation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Report financial statements to internal leaders: CEO, COO, Sr. VP of Marketing & Sales, Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Manufacturing, and VP of Supply Chain.
Ownership of accurate standard costs for all manufacturing facilities, guide monthly forecasting meetings with the VP of Manufacturing, and partner with the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager.
Qualifications
ERP experience such as MS Dynamics 365, Foundation, NetSuite, Navision, Epicor, MS Business Central, QAD, Acumatica, SAP Business One, or Intacct all a plus.
Hands-on experience managing inventory and multisite production facilities
Knowledge of ERP in manufacturing environments.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
Strong financial analysis and manufacturing experience, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
