About the Position:
As the Business Lending Processor you are responsible for all aspects of business loan processing along with document preparation, loan closing and loan reconciliation. In addition, you are responsible for a number of business loan operation and administrative functions. You will provide solid loan judgment and will carefully follow the bank's policies and procedures, support the Business Lending team, and provide professionalism to the Bank's customers.
What You Will Do:
Assemble and carefully review the accuracy/completeness of business loan documents, ensuring they meet the bank's requirements including all legal and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and other key stakeholders.
Review loans to ensure credit parameters are applied appropriately and consistently and act as a first line of defense for account risk
Ensure loans are booked into the bank's core operating system with a high degree of accuracy on a daily basis.
Maintain the highest level of customer service and demonstrates First IB core competencies in all actions and situations.
Maintain and develop rapport with customers.
Perform a variety of administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of the bank's policies and procedures including the preparation of regulatory notices and preparation of post-closing loan documentation.
Provide administrative assistance to the Manager of the department in a positive and expedient manner.
Assure actions meet state and federal regulatory compliance requirements and maintain a high level of knowledge about same.
Act as a subject matter expert for the products that the Business Lending Department offer.
Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of three years of previous experience in lending or processing with either mortgage or business loans
Previous loan funding experience preferred
Previous experience with nCino or other business lending software preferred
A high degree of attention to detail
Professional communication skills
History of analysis and recommendations of solutions to various customer process and procedure related issues
Capable of working effectively with other employees and under limited supervision
An understanding of financial institution products and services, and particularly the dynamics of a lending environment
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and professionalism at all times
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Working Conditions/Demands:
Professional office setting.
Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
