The Associate Controller is a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting processes and providing strategic leadership in financial data analysis and technology implementations. This role involves close collaboration with the VP to support the organization's financial and technological strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Full Cycle Accounting
Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare GAAP accrual accounting entries.
Conduct account analysis and prepare journal entries.
Manage fixed assets.
Assist with the financial statement audit.
Data Analytics Support
Conduct strategic data analysis to identify insights and implications from organizational data.
Make strategic recommendations based on data analysis to the CFO.
Establish automated reporting metrics in coordination with appropriate parties to measure performance effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in full cycle accounting, including month-end/year-end close processes and general ledger reconciliation.
Strong understanding of non-profit/ grant accounting.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
