About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer...

n this role, you will:
  • Lead the US application production support team providing the following services: Incident, Problem, Request for PEGA related applications.
  • Collaborate, engage and partner with stakeholders on application stability and resiliency, reducing production defects/failures/manual actions and process optimization/simplification.
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives.
  • Implement policies and procedures and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area.
  • Analyze and create Monthly Production Status Report to improve the operating environment.
  • Introduce enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation improving system stability and observability (monitoring, logging)
  • Highlight automation opportunities and reduce TOIL.

Travel required: None

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, or related technical field. Position requires five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience.

Specific skills required:
  • 5+ years of Pega Experience
  • 3+ years of Agile Experience
  • 3+ years of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
  • 3+ years supporting Red Hat Linux
  • 3+ years experience in writing shell / Python scripts
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2 + years using Ansible.
  • 2 + years utilizing observability tools like AppDynamics, Grafana.
  • 2 + years utilizing logging tools such as Splunk.
  • PEGA certification
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Understanding of SDLC, ITIL methodology and life cycle management.
  • Experience using ITSM ServiceNow application.
