Our client is a growth oriented, super regional banking institution. The Small Business Banker will be based northeast of Nashville TN in a new branch for our client. The Small Business Banker will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business clients by providing them with tailored banking solutions to meet their financial needs. This role will serve as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients and offering expert guidance on various banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with business clients through regular communication and personalized service.
Understand clients' financial goals, challenges, and opportunities to provide strategic advice and solutions.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze the financial statements, cash flow projections, and credit history of business clients to assess their creditworthiness and financial health.
Identify potential risks and opportunities to mitigate risks and optimize clients' financial performance.
Business Banking Solutions:
Recommend and structure banking products and services to meet the specific needs of business clients, including loans, lines of credit, treasury management services, and merchant services.
Collaborate with other banking departments to offer comprehensive solutions that address clients' banking, investment, and insurance needs.
Business Development:
Actively prospect for new business clients through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by cross-selling additional banking products and services.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures when structuring deals and offering financial products and services.
Assess and manage risks associated with lending and other banking activities, implementing risk mitigation strategies as needed.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to business clients by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering timely and accurate information.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, proactively anticipating their needs and delivering value-added services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
2+ years of experience in business banking sales and client relations or similar banking experience
Strong understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze financial data, assess credit risk, and make informed lending decisions.
Proven track record of building and managing client relationships, meeting sales targets, and driving business growth.
Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
