THE ROLE
Reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this pivotal position is tasked with scaling our entire early phase engagement lifecycle, encompassing Pre-Sales, Assessments, and Closure and playing a crucial role in building, leading, and mentoring our Advisory department. Collaborating closely with our Chief Experience Officer and the delivery organization, the incumbent ensures a thorough understanding of customer requirements, achieving outcomes and surpassing expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a client-facing CTO, you will actively engage with clients in the Proposal, Assessment, and Architecture phases. Beyond that, you will take on the additional responsibility of helping build, lead, and mentor our Advisory department, contributing to developing plans that enable clients to reach their goals. This involves close collaboration with our delivery organization to ensure the successful execution of these plans and the overall satisfaction of our clients. • Perform IT/Enterprise Architecture/MarTech assessments with customers • Estimate work/hours/cost to accomplish customer goals - create and present proposals • Evaluate proposed and created solutions for efficiency, proper design, and modularity • Provide feedback and suggestions to inform the policies, best practices, and working instructions used to govern development standards • Assist technical leadership in verifying that standards, processes, and quality are maintained for all Provisions Group/PTS client programs and solutions • Provide training support to the teams in collaboration with training plans established by a team's functional supervisor • Support Business Development by estimating the effort and complexity of proposed work • Consult with Program Management and Business Development to properly scope the size of work • Participate in the creation and maintenance of Architectural Road Maps • Positively influence technical strategy at all levels of the organization from development teams to senior leadership • Understand and verify customer requirements, and recommend alternatives related to software, hardware, security, and network solutions • Present a solutions architecture to stakeholders of a project • Troubleshoot advanced technical challenges to include, but not be limited to, software defects, hardware concerns, and network challenges • Provide technical support and assistance to Program and Delivery Management, as needed • Collaborate and communicate with customers face-to-face, by telephone, email, and other media to maintain strong customer relationships and establish proper customer expectations • Assist in the selection of third-party technical and implementation solutions • Provide recruiting support to Engineering teams, as needed • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES • Able to work autonomously and exhibit excellent judgment • Strong Technical leadership of development teams and vendors • Ability to work in a team matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the organization including vendor partners • Experience developing architectural standards and road maps • Experience building and managing budgets or proposals for large scale IT projects • Proven experience developing future state architecture from the current state • Proven experience in large, complex scale projects • Solid presentation skills, ability to effectively influence • Experience and knowledge of software / technologies along with best practices of leveraging technology to drive competitive advantage • Multi-industry and line of business experience is a major plus
QUALIFICATIONS • Preference to candidates who have worked in Consulting or supporting multiple clients • Preference to candidates with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree • Preference to candidates in within 1 hour drive of Nashville • 10 years of Information Technology professional experience - 4 years functioning as an Enterprise Architect, Enterprise Solutions Architecture, Enterprise Software, or Integration Architect or equivalent • At least 2 years' experience building hours or budgetary estimates or proposals for work in largescale software or systems-based IT projects • Enterprise Architecture certified or equivalent experience using industry standards such as TOGAF, FEAF, ArchiMate, Zachman, etc.
