As an AWS-Windows Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical expertise and advanced troubleshooting for Windows Servers and AWS services, supporting various software products across diverse environments. Your role will encompass planning, designing, provisioning, maintaining, and upgrading both physical and virtual Windows servers and related infrastructure. You will lead complex projects involving the latest Windows server technologies, from design through to configuration and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Services Management: Administer and support various AWS services and resources.
Windows Server Administration: Manage Windows Server and Active Directory Infrastructure, including IIS (versions 2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022).
Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve high-priority issues and perform in-depth technical root cause analysis for both Windows Server and AWS services.
Technology Implementation: Integrate and implement the latest AWS technologies.
Workload Prioritization: Manage tasks and prioritize workload to meet service level agreements.
Project Participation: Work independently or collaboratively on projects.
Automation: Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks, enhancing efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing learning and knowledge sharing with the team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
AWS Experience: 2-3 years of experience in supporting and administering AWS infrastructure.
Windows Server Expertise: 3+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration/Engineering.
Active Directory Skills: 3+ years of experience with complex Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS management.
AWS Certifications: Possess certifications like AWS Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS SysOps Administrator - Associate.
Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, JSON/YAML, PowerShell, and Bash.
Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with network service monitoring tools like SCOM (2016/2019) and SolarWinds.
Backup and Patching: Experienced in the backup and patching of Windows Servers.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
Team Collaboration: Proven experience in working collaboratively across teams in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.
Optional/Preferred Skills:
Automation Tools: Experience with CI/CD frameworks and automation tools.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
Configuration Management: Knowledge of tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
Linux Support: Experience in supporting and administering Linux systems.
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
