Piper Maddox is exclusively partnering with an extremely exciting business that is developing, owning, and operating standalone energy storage projects across the US. This opportunity will offer an opportunity to come in as an early member of their team and have a huge impact on how the business continues to grow.

The business is a wholly owned subsidiary of a major international energy company and has the financial backing and support to grow at an incredible scale over the next several years. They have a healthy pipeline and some great targets they will be looking to hit and are building out a team to help them accomplish these goals.

We are currently looking for a (Sr.) Development Engineer to join their Development Engineering team and be responsible for engineering, developing, and designing utility-scale projects for the business. You will have the opportunity to work outside of your scope with third-party vendors and expand your skill sets as both an engineer and a project manager.

Required Experience
  • Ideally looking for someone with 3-5+ years' experience working in renewable energy, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • A degree in either civil or electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • It would be great if this person had experience working at an EPC, IPP, or consultancy in any of the following markets: NY-ISO, ERCOT, MISO, ISO-NE, or PJM.
  • Someone who is not just looking for a purely engineering position. You will also have project manager responsibilities with a focus on working with external parties.
  • Someone who is passionate about the renewables industry and wants to grow within a business.
