Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Sr. Lean and CI Engineer leads, coordinates and contributes to the lean mission through 6 groups of activities in collaboration with the OpEx and Transfo. Manager and the cross functional team in the plant
Nemera Production System (NPS)
Coordinate, contribute, ensure standard deployment & audit (for all bricks of NPS House)
Organize best practices awareness and surveillance between Nemera's plants and external
Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
Perform trainings to co workers
Project management / support / delivery on
Lean / flow guidance for all transversal operations projects
Transformation
Is responsible to the creation, coordination & deployment of transformation plant roadmap (local / central, dimensions, budget / Strat plan participation)
Performance management
Governance, Reporting (e.g., gain tracker, plant KPIs insurance, savings)
Analyze and identify improvement / savings opportunities
MES key user and development contributors
Change / Coaching
Practitioner on assigned projects in partnership with Operations team
Value from digital
Value generation through advanced analytics capabilities for following systems and relevant operational modules: MES, ERP, APS, CMMS
Assist in power BI roadmap for the plant
Digital innovators: identify new ways, lead proof of concept when relevant, optimize digital tool usage, optimize and analyze data from digital
Executes continuous improvement strategies by translating business objectives into actionable projects.
Communicates the company's continuous improvement philosophy, vision, and expectations.
Shares lean and continuous improvement best practices through the organization.
Partners with each department to streamline, improve and sustain process with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Acts as a change agent around continuous improvement opportunities.
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, lead-time, and inventory.
Identifies quality improvement opportunities.
Evaluates workflow and cell design and recommends improvements to enhance productivity and safety.
Looks for opportunities to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
Leads value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas.
Designs and leads projects to implement continuous improvement actions and achieve future state.
Develops measurement systems supporting lean manufacturing philosophy.
Tracks and executes cost reduction on process improvements.
Documents and communicates improvements in manufacturing overhead, efficiency and utilization.
Develops and sustains employees training and development on lean concepts.
Trains teams in improvement processes, optimizes floor layout and material flow using lean concepts.
Executes the NPS philosophy across the plants.
Leads and/or participates in local and central transformation initiatives.
Own, manage, and support MES reports for the plants through report creation and production support.
Engaged in 5S efforts across the plants.
Facilitate dimensional rollouts to achieve operational excellence.
Engage in cross-functional initiatives across all departments in the plant.
Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE as required.
Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setup processing polymers/plastics in a highly automated environment.
CMMS, SAP proficiency, Proficient in Master Data concepts.
Creo/Pro-E/AUTOCAD experience preferred.
Project management experience preferred.
Knowledge of maintenance performance KPis

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
10+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing setup.
Professional Project Manager Certification
Strong Excel and data analytical skills.
Strong math, reading, problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team setup as a facilitator or a leader.
Black belt in Lean Six Sigma
MES proficiency
Strong Power BI skills and dashboard creation for key metrics(including DAX functionality, power automate etc.)
Strong experience in projects portfolio management and reporting (5+ years)
Strong industrial experience in a leadership / management position (5+ years)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate business needs in an agile environment
