CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: Leapros has been engaged by a full-service Mechanical & Plumbing Contractor for the direct-hire opportunity of Mechanical Project Manager. This Mechanical Contractor has consistent, long-term projects within exciting project sectors such as Mission-Critical, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Commercial. POSITION TITLE: Mechanical Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
Initiate, review and oversee required project administration and documentation to avoid claims and protect the best interest of our company and our clients.
Coordinate required procurement of materials and equipment with purchasing agent, with emphasis on buyout plan to meet, or improve on, established schedule dates and budget cost.
Initiate setup, monitoring and updating of project scheduling.
Ensure required submittal review, processing and approvals, and submittal logs are set-up and maintained.
Collect payments, progress billing and retention receivables, on or before due dates.
Responsible for overall financial performance of all assigned projects, including continual cost control, management and forecasting.
Prepare accurately, and submit on time, all required project monthly contract valuations.
Review, approve and process all subcontractor and supplier invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager within Mechanical Construction. Field experience not required, however a plus.
College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills or equivalent combination and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
Experience on large Mechanical projects to include Data Centers, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Aviation, Office, and Education projects.
Proven experience being responsible for a single department or functional area either as a manager or functional expert.
Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with key staff and other departments.
Ability to make authoritative decisions and recommendations having important impact on activities of the company.
Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented complexities.
Ability to determine program objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects and develop standards and guidelines for diverse activities.
Proven specialist expertise, typically 5+ years of experience, including fiscal responsibilities.
Ability to apply diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments.
Ability to make decisions independently regarding complexities and methods.
Possess strong sense of teamwork and accountability.
