Job Description Summary

The Design Transfer Program Leader will plan execution and technical support for the introduction of new product development and existing product manufacturing. They will also lead the manufacturing side of design transfer from Engineering to Manufacturing and will lead any manufacturing activities related to product manufacturing localization. The candidate will be recognized as a key manufacturing technology leader within their organization. They will interface with global counterparts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scheduling, materials set-up and procurement, costing and documentation to prepare for introducing new products and executing NPI/Transfer activities. This will include ensuring that the supply chain is ready to launch a product at the right quality and capacity.
  • Own Transfers - TR4 and M0 - M4 Integrated supply chain deliverables and act as the main interface on program core team for design for manufacturability, automation, testability, production , etc.,
  • Own the Integrated Supply Chain Milestone and ensure design maturity before handing off to remote site or manufacturing
  • Create detailed project schedule and establish material flow for pitching and receiving Site
  • Create updated Bill of material with Engineering and updated Work Service Instruction's with manufacturing
  • Provide information to catching site on site requirements, HVAC, Material flow, testing, ATE etc.
  • Analyze M4/ TR4 requirements for quality and productivity metrics and close pitching side activities.
  • Facilitate training for catcher site
  • Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design
  • Participate in early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs.
  • Drive AME initiatives across sites while providing business-wide impact and enabling sharing of best practices across the Global Supply Chain

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 3 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development, technical industry or research environment
  • Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ's
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills

Desired Characteristics
  • Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
  • Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Supply Chain
  • Exposure and Use of Lean Methodologies
  • Exposure to GEHC MR products and structure.
  • 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified
  • Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle including supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Experiences in Process Intensive manufacturing
  • Product and Process Development experience
  • Solid working knowledge of GEHC QMS procedures for GMP
  • Demonstrated program or project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience owning production processes / growing capability in yield and quality
  • Experience working with global teams
